Spain school library MASCOT

TOLOLEO is the name of Spanish mascot. It is a centipede who lives in the school library and can solve all questions about environmental issues that students can imagine. The name is a joke meaning “I read all”. In other words, that means that reading you can get wonderful, funny and fantastic worlds in your imagination, but also scientist researching and general knowledge.

MINUTES OF 1st TRANSNATIONAL MEETING

1. Minutes of meetings. Each country will be in charge of doing the Minutes of the Meeting or the Workshop celebrated in their country.
2. Every country will show their school, city and country through a Power-Point at the beginning of each Meeting or Workshop.
3. Evaluation Report from Spanish National Agency. Each school will discuss about it and decide the best way to improve the project by overtaking weak elements.
4. It will not be necessary to do any change in the Project because of decreased budget. We agreed that every Meeting will last from Wednesday to Sunday and each Workshops from Tuesday to Sunday including trips. In each workshop we will share all the activities done in each school. The host School will design what to do during the workshop. Previously, each country will do leaflets and Booklets including teaching/learning guides of all works done. It will be part of school libraries and be evaluated by staff. Each school will be in charge to the Dissemination of the Project in their own country.
5. We exchanged little creature 3D models too and gave ideas to create Project logo.
6. All of us will celebrate the World Habitat Day Celebration the first Monday next October 2016.
7. According school calendar of each country, we planned the actions for the first year: activities to do (according applicant form), exact dates for workshops: in Italy 8th-13 March and in Romania from 17th to 22th May. The second transnational meeting in Croatia from 21st to 25th September 2016.
8. In Italy we will share all the Leaflets about little creatures and board game invented by each school about Ecosystems in English and in their mother tongue explaining its goals, target groups, the rules, materials… and children playing. And with all of these leaflets and others we will create a booklet as result of the Workshop in Digital Form (PDF) with at least a page for each activity done in each school. ( with the description of the activity, its development, pictures about the activity… ) and later each school can print it and put it in each library.
9. Questionnaires for workshops C1 (Protected ecosystems) and C2 (Recycling) were agreed. Romania and Italy will send by Internet three questionnaires (from 3-6, from 7 to 11 and from 12 to 15 years old) about the two first topics: Ecosystems and Recycling. (Before 5th December). When all the activities of the first topic have been done 50 children from each school will do the final questionnaire to verify the knowledge improvement about this topic. In Italy we will create a statistical basis about the improvement.
10. We decided a Common individual “Certification of Attendance” the same for each transnational meetings and Workshops, with the Logo of the Project: two copies, one for each person and another one for each School. The Certification of Attendance to this Meeting in Spain will not have the logo because it has not been already created.
All Children involved in this Project will receive a Certification of Participation each year with the title of the two topics worked during each year and the Logo too.
11. All of us will use these Communications platforms: Etwinnig, whatsapp, emails, etc… and even Videoconferences (Etwinning/Skype). Spanish and CroatiaTeam will create a space in Etwinning with the name of the Project to be used for every country involved in. Through these Communications Platforms we will share information, solve any doubts, upload and download activities and its results…
12. Distribution of tasks: Croatia will do the Logo of the Project collecting the ideas and all the drawings of the little Creatures of every country that, previously, Spain will send them by Internet. Then, the Croatia Team will send the Logo to the Spanish Coordinator. Croatia will create a Webpage for the Project in which all country will upload their activities related to the Project.. Each country will do one model of certification for children and share them by Internet ( before the end of February) and We will choose one, equal for everybody, in March in Italy. Hungary Team will create a video with the mane of the Project and upload it in Youtube to be well-known all over the world.
13. A press release has been agreed to be sent to each country local media with a photo of all participants: “A delegation of teachers from Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Spain and Turkey visited the C.E.I.P. Santa Juliana in Granada, Spain, from 25th to 29th November as part of the Erasmus+Project “ Researching from the School Library to improve the environment”.
During the Project teachers discussed and planned activities for students aged 3 to 15 on Ecosystems and Recycling.
This Project will last two years and include work on Responsible water consumption and Renewable Energies with the aim of teaching the new generations to be more responsible about the environment using English as common language so that students can feel they are active European citizens”.
14. Meeting evaluation. We will evaluate the next meetings/workshops themselves by using questionnaires, video-interview and other different ways. Everybody will evaluate this first meeting according to the proposal model and so they will send their evaluation by Internet.
