Learning/teaching/training activity/ 8/13-11-2016. RESPONSIBLE WATER CONSUMPTION

Objectives: To increase awareness of our students, staff and the members of the local community about the water consumption of people and the consequences of lack of water in the future. To learn about water saving and cleaning techniques, responsible water consumption.

The most important activity in each training event was the exchange of information about activities and the way they have been done. Shared information about educational practices between teachers attending these activities was carried out to each partner school after the meeting to the staff in each school. Activities were monitored according to the initial time-table activities, human resources (number of teachers, number of children involved), time (periods of time according to schedule), material and financial resources (materials needed for activities, notes of financial need for the project). Comparison with what was planned in the application form and the current reality. Analysis of the results of the questionnaires, the results of the research studies, the books provided after each workshop, discussions with our partners, feedback received from students, parents and local community, from all partner schools, their attitude provided us that they are more awareness about environmental problems and  more determined in taking actions for the quality of life in a healthy environment and show that our project has met its objectives. The activity from each library school became more dynamic, it is now a place to enjoy, to look for information and to research. Teachers seem to have more engaging working atmosphere in sharing their best practices in producing materials for formal and non-formal activities. Teachers involved in the project have improved their foreign language and digital skills by making PPT, designed digital books, working on  e-Twinning  platform and facebook. Several interesting material were created (mock-ups, board games, toys…) that will be useful in the future for new students in our schools. In addition to this, each training event had following special features:

Participants were met in Budapest, where they visited Organica Company, the biggest water treatment plant in our capital city. Here we could observe how water can be treated in a different way. The raw sewage is cleaned with the help of greenhouses and different kinds of plants biologically, without any bad smell. The participants also visited the Ecocentre to the neighbouring village where they could admire the flora and fauna of the region. They investigated how these animals and plants live in and at water.

the last meeting in the Czech Republic
Arrival possibilities: to Prague or Ostrava. From Prague you can take the train to Ostrava. Czech team is going to pick us up at the train station in Ostrava
Suggestion: 24 to 28 May, 2017 some of the partners preferred the date one week later.
Finally, after discussion we agreed on the suggested date.

The visibility of the project
The Romanian coordinator mentioned that their national agency has got some problems with the visibility of our project. Our project is on Etwinning but it has got a closed access.
Problem: it is not possible to check our page by the national agencies.
We will have to make it possible for everybody to see our platform and activities. The national agency should be sent a link. The idea is to disseminate everything. It is possible to upload everything to somewhere else. Maybe creating a blog can be fine. Finally our overall coordinator said that he should get in contact with the ICT expert of the Croatian team and they should find out something together.

Workshop on water consumption
Each partner presented their work done in connection with water consumption with the help of presentations.
